April 10, 2006 - Phelps, NY - Michael Allen has been named president of Z-AXIS, Inc. (www.zaxis.net) and BEAR Power Supplies (www.bearpwr.com). Mr. Allen has served as Director of Engineering at Z-AXIS since 1989, and has also led the company's business development efforts since 2003.

In 2001 he formed the BEAR Power Supplies business unit and led the design, production and marketing of the new line of patent-pending power supply modules and custom power supplies. He also launched a strategic initiative to expand and promote Z-AXIS' contract manufacturing capabilities, including the introduction of lead-free solder lines for printed circuit board manufacturing.

"The new power supply and contract manufacturing business lines have driven the majority of our sales growth in the past three years, and I am extremely excited by our prospects for continued growth and expansion in these areas," Mr. Allen said. The company has expanded its work force by 20% over the past year to meet the increased demand

Mr. Allen has previous experience as a design engineer with Elston Electronics Corporation and Itek Graphics. He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering from Rochester Institute of Technology in 1984.
