Position Job Requirements

Electrical Design Engineers

We currently have two electrical design positions open in the Engineering Department and will consider anyone from a recent graduate to a seasoned veteran. This is a hands-on design position where you will spend the vast majority of your time developing analog and digital circuits. This will involve using a variety of test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.

You will be fully involved with the development of a design from concept to full production. Every Engineer at BEAR is involved in all aspects of a project, including circuit design, component selection, prototype and production fixture development, and creating test procedures. In addition to standard and custom power supplies, other analog, power, digital, and signal processing projects are designed by the engineering team and produced by our Z-AXIS group.

This is a great engineering career opportunity if you would like to be exposed to a wide variety of designs and would like to spend most of your time in design. We are a small company where every individual engineer can make a difference.

Requirements

  • BSEE with experience in analog and digital design.
  • Electrical Engineer with experience designing power supplies preferred.
  • Knowledge of different regulatory agencies requirements desired.
  • Familiarity with PADS and printed circuit layout software a plus.

 

Quality Manager

This is a hands-on management position for a company moving toward ISO certification. You will plan, coordinate and direct the daily operations of the Quality department to meet customer and company requirements utilizing the quality management system. Your duties will include:

  • Managing the quality department
  • Guiding the company through the ISO certification process
  • Coordinating company-wide corrective action process
  • Training quality personnel
  • Working with customers to ensure their requirements are met
  • Performing internal quality audits
  • Defining and implementing standards and methods for inspecting and testing products

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years in an electronics environment in a quality department
  • Supervisory experience required
  • Degree desired but not required
  • Expertise in IPC 610 standard
  • Experience with ISO 9001:2000
  • Experience in development of procedures, work instructions and quality plans
  • Knowledge of 6 Sigma methods and techniques, process control systems
